Lake San Antonio is about one hour from either King City or Paso Robles. Please plan ahead, as once you reach the lake it may take from twenty minutes to an hour to get to the race site. You can never arrive too early but you won’t want to be late. Spectators on Saturday and Sunday will be directed to park by event staff in one of the open parking lots. To get to the Expo Area and Start/Finish and Transitions Area, you will then need to either walk down one of the 3 wide maintained walking trails or utilize one of our busses or shuttles to get down the hill (1-1.5 miles) so come prepared.

For Spectators visiting the Wildflower Experience Festival for a day and not camping at the event, please make sure to plan your trip to the lake with the Road Closures on Saturday and Sunday in mind. You’ll need to make sure you arrive at the Front Gate 15 to 30 minutes before the roads are closed to allow time to park and make your way to the Festival Area in the park.

Single Day Use Passes (also known as: “Festival Day Pass – 1 Person – 1 Day”) can be purchased on the Camping/Festival Registration pages at a discounted price before the Wednesday of event week or at full price once you arrive at the Front Gate. These passes are per person and are required for everyone over the age of 15.

Roads will be closed at 8:00 am and will not open until all bikes are off the course (approximately 3 PM).

Safety is our first priority. Please drive slowly and watch for participants and pedestrians on the roads.

All spectators must arrive prior to 8 AM on Saturday and Sunday in order to enter the park for the event.

Please do not plan on leaving the park until after 3 PM on Saturday and Sunday.  When leaving the park please follow all instructions given to you by rangers, security, race officials and course marshals.

When you arrive at the entry gate please have your Festival Day Pass ready and Event Staff will help direct you to open parking spaces. We will also be selling Festival Day Passes at the front gate, but be aware not pre-purchasing them could lead to some delays in getting down to see the start of the race.

There is no spectator car access or parking in the Lynch Area.

The best viewing location is from the Festival Area. You’ll be able to view the entire swim, all transitions, and the Finish.

A secondary viewing area is at the top of Lynch Hill. You will be able to see the participants leave and return on the Bike Course and you will also be able to catch them at the beginning of the last mile of the downhill run.

• Top of Lynch Hill: Vans, Bus or Walking Trails
• Harris Creek: Bus or Pontoon Boat
• Lupine Meadows (Overflow): Vans or Bus
• North Shore: Pontoon Boat

• 1.1 Miles to Redonda Vista
• 2.9 Miles to Lupine Meadows (Overflow) Camping
• 4.1 Miles to Harris Creek

Busses:
Busses run until 8:00 PM on Saturday and 5:00 PM on Sunday. Trucks with trailers will follow the busses to transport your bikes up Lynch Hill. Busses will run to the top of Lynch Hill after the Race.

Shuttle Vans:
Shuttle Vans will run until 9:00 PM. Van shuttles will run from Redonda Vista to Lupine Meadow and Harris Creek. Please inform our volunteers if you would like a ride in the van or if someone in your party has trouble getting in and out of busses. No bikes in shuttle vans.

NO FOOT OR BICYCLE TRAFFIC ON LYNCH HILL. PEDESTRIANS SHOULD USE THE NEARBY WALKING TRAILS.

Please take advantage of the beautiful walking trails marked around the park to get to the festival area. They are marked on the following map by black dashed lines. These are the fastest way to get from the Redonda Vista Camping area, and a great time-saving alternative to riding a bus from all parking and camping areas. We highly suggest you bring your own lighting on the trails after dark.
